Hot Five Centennial Celebration, Part 3!

Join Louis Armstrong House Museum Director of Research Collections Ricky Riccardi and Matthew Rivera on Saturday, November 14, for the third installment of our Hot Five Centennial Celebration!

Marking 100 years since Louis Armstrong and His Hot Five made their landmark recordings in November 1926, this special listening session revisits classics like “Big Butter and Egg Man,” “Skid-Dat-De-Dat,” and “Jazz Lips.” We’ll spin the original 78 rpm records and share the stories behind the music, exploring the recordings that helped transform jazz and changed the course of American music.
